An Unexpected Party

Hey listeners!

Whether you started listening 50 years ago, 1 year ago, or just last week, we at the Wizard really appreciate you all. In honor of a half-century of WZRD we have all been working hard behind the scenes in order to improve and grow as a station. While you should expect to see the results of that work soon (new voices - new events - website changes, oh my!), I wanted to start posting on this blog to be a little more transparent about the goings-on here and now.

For those of you who saw the word “improve” and shuddered, I can’t blame you. Here on the internet, “improve” usually means some sort of horrible corporate rebrand or premium-subscription plan that comes in to mess up something good and cool and free. Worry not! The Wizard is only going to get weirder, more esoteric, and altogether more Wizard-y than ever before.
